Get Excited!

My main goal is to get people excited about a product, organization, or even a movement. As a designer, I want to excite others about the right things. An example of this is my food truck design. Inspired by my love of foraging for persimmons and mint when I was young, “Wild Things” is a food truck that incorporates foraged plants into familiar meals. Wild midwestern native and invasive plants like dandelions, morel mushrooms, cattails, honeysuckle, and violets can be incorporated into delicious snacks.

Interesting Ingredients

Ideally, the food truck would source these ingredients from local people who may have these plants naturally growing on their property. While providing extra income to locals, gathering invasive species, such as honeysuckle, can benefit our environment. Getting rid of fast-growing honeysuckle lets native plants have more opportunities to grow, allowing for a healthier local ecosystem.

Colors on the aprons and menus can help familiar customers quickly identify what seasonal menu is currently being served.
